Engine Block Drain Plug

I've read and printed out the pictures and descriptions from Rick Zotz's web
site on changing the coolant. And, have referred to my FSM. But, for the
life of me, I cannot find the engine block drain plug.
The only 14mm nut/bolt in the area pictured and described is mounted on a
screw... undid it anyway and of course that wasn't it. I've used my hands
and a flashlight and felt under there for another bolt in the general
area(krist there's a lot of nasty drippings in there) and still no luck.
It doesn't help that I'm nearsighted and my close up vision(getting old)
isn't worth crap anymore... Eric K. laughs his butt off when I can't see
something, damn twentysomething year old.
Anyway, if I can't locate the plug, is it safe to go ahead with the flushing
and coolant change w/o removing said plug?
I'm actually doing this in order to put on my new hoses(silicon, baby...
bright blue) and because I'll be pulling the throttle body off to clean it
properly.
Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Later,
Mark
