Since the goal is to keep the hose from moving on the pipes there are other
alternatives to beading the pipe.
1. weld a strip of material to the pipe such that it goes over the hose and
under the hose clamp then turns up at the end. Sort of like ___---'. This
provides a positive lock so the clamp cannot move and therefore the hose
can't either.
2. put a strap between the two pieces of pipe so they cannot move relative
to each other. My Calloway VW kit had a strap between the intake manifold
and one of the castings to keep it from blowing off it had a couple of 10-32
screws holding it. ( I never installed it and never had any problems up to
about 15 lbs of boost )
