As you said, we can calculate the hp at the wheels. Hp at the wheels is the
same as hp at the crank (minus drivetrain losses). We know the engine rpm
and we know the hp at the crank so we have 1 equation (hp = t X rpm / 5252),
1 unknown and can easily calculate the engine torque. The # you get is minus
drivetrain losses, but that is a well known fact of chassis dynos... the
numbers it gives are always minus drivetrain.
