Radiator cap

Does it have a piece that maybe lifts up before it can be removed, or some other type of catch?  Usually that's pretty obvious, so I suspect it doesn't.

Maybe you have to press down after relieving pressure, before turning?  Maybe it just needs a whack with a hammer?

> The curious thing is that I can't take the radiator cap off. The radiator is not original - it was replaced after a collision in about 2000. Cap can be loosened to relieve pressure, but I just cannot get it off. I see nothing that indicates that this is the way it should be.
