I've been enjoying reading the last few digests. Awesome!
SE-R content: I finally shipped my NX2000 the 3000 kms from Toronto to Saskatoon, where I now live. Well, I did live in Halifax in between that too, but I left the car in Toronto because that's where the good tracks were within driving distance.
It's good to have the car here, but I'm dying to start working on it and find out what caused the myriad of problems last time I was at a racetrack with it.
However, I'm taking Sarah's advice and I'm sending oil for analysis off to Blackstone Labs before I do anything at all.
Since it's been ages since I've posted - SR20DET, JWT S4 cams - alternator burned out, wouldn't idle or run below 4500 rpms, positive crankcase pressure blew the dipstick out, shot oil all over the hot bits of the turbo, causing a nice smokescreen effect and mild sensation at the lapping day. I'm wondering if the timing chain jumped and probably I need a new HG. I'm hoping the engine doesn't need a complete teardown, but that would give me something interesting to do.
