Factory G-Meter!

$100 says it's the spade connector on the temp sender unit by the oil 
filter. There are two there, one sends to the ECU, the other sends to 
the dash. The one that sends to the dash has a weak spade connector held 
on by a hope and a prayer.

Rip off the spade connector on the sensor itself and replace the plug on 
the harness with an aligator clip and call it a day.
