Tips on changing the water pump?

Being patient is probably the fist thing so don't be in a hurry when you
start to do it.
Some of the following tips should help:
- Crack the water pump pulley bolts loose before you take the belts
off. the tension of the belts helps hold it in place.
- After the belts are off take out the engine mount. I use the scissor
jack underneath the cast iron Air Conditioning bracket to hold the
engine and then take the engine mount out. Position the jack so that
you can raise and lower the engine if needed to help get to some of the
bolts.
