Rear Main Seal

The rear cover is held on by those 4 bolts that you already took off,
plus the 2 nuts on the bottom. There is also liquid gasket that seals it
(normal), so you will need to break the seal before it comes off. You
can use a putty knife and a rubber mallet. Be very careful that you
don't gouge any of the mating surfaces. Once the cover is off, it's much
easier to remove and replace the rear seal.
Don't forget to scrape off all the old gasket from both mating
surfaces, and apply a new bead. Be careful that the new oil seal doesn't
fold over itself when you put the rear cover back on. You can try to put
some grease on the inside edge of the seal to try to prevent this.
