seeing through the catalytic converter?

I'm really surprised that it's in as good of condition as it is.  Considering
it's 100k old, I was running ultra rich (10-16mpg) due to a TPS problem for
around 10k, blew out a turbo bearing dumping oil through the cat..... It looks
alright though.  I dunno how well the catalysts are working though, don't have
to worry about emissions here in Florida.  I got a new 3" cat though to go
along with my new 3" exhaust (thanks to Andreas Miko).
