The thinwall header has a much higher rate of thermal
transmittance than the cast iron and a much higher
surface to volume ratio.  A stainless header is much
better for this.

Ever notice the werid tricks Honda manifolds have to
get around this?  Things like the tubular tri-y
manifold sharing a common wall on about 40% of the ID,
etc.
