I like the switches with pull rods.  You would have to drill a hole in
the body big enough for the pull rod to pass through, but on every day
of the week that *isn't* race day, you can set the switch to the "on"
position, unscrew the rod, and plug the hole.

Are internally-mounted, externally-activated switches legal in your
class?
