If anyone is curious, the Azenis work fine in the dry when mounted
"inside/out" as well.
I finished the Solo2 season with a couple of events with them mounted
"inside/out" since the outer shoulder was well worn (I can only get -1
degree of camber on the front).
I believe the main reason for the tread pattern is to expell water.
I'm still driving on them every day this way (even in the snow - very
slowly...) until I get my new set.
