im not a transmission expert, but it sounds like the tolerances in the internals are way to close together, and that once things heat up and expand, it sort of locks together. as far as replacing it, you might just want to get another one. just be sure to have the tranny case welded if you do :-) Alex '93 NX2k - welded tranny :-)
