I didn't notice you mention when the backfire happens. If you only get a
backfire when you are coasting with your foot off the gas, I wouldn't worry
about it provided it runs well otherwise and isn't loud. When you are
coasting like that, the ECU is still injecting fuel although it doesn't
appear to be enough to ignite in the cylinders. I believe Nissan did that to
keep the cat warm. That may be the cause of your backfire.
