I have this mentality which is probably wrong. I am from Turkey and in Turkey
maybe because of experience or maybe because of lack of knowledge we have a
thing called "opening the motor". So on the first weeks of the car, you ram
on
it hard and high RPM so the engine will open up better and also perform
better
in the future. Breaking it in means the reverse in Turkey. Like when you
break
in, you drive it harder than ever. And belive it or not the engines (
Carburated and not contraolled by ECU) which has been broke in the way that i
was saying always were faster than other cars which has been broke in like a
grandma. So no matter how bad it is no matter how stupid it is i broke in my
engine like that, full throttle, i actually never took easy on it, I drag
raced with that car when it had less then 100 miles on it. So if anything
happens it is my stupidty but according to my redneck way of opening the
motor
if you dont do it on the first weeks the engine would get used to be driven
like that or pistions wont open up well and youll be stuck with that engine
for the rest of its life. Thats why i did it and now I feel like i did the
right thing no matter how much everybody tells me that i am stupid.Get more
