I guess I should elaborate a little on my experience with these tires. First
off, the size I have are 205-45-ZR16. The tires have decent performance and
are especially good in the wet. I have put a little over 10k on them, and the
noise didn't appear until after I rotated them front to back. I do almost 100
percent highway driving between 70 and 80 MPH. These tires now have a rythimic
grinding sound much like a bad wheel bearing would. They are noisey at all
speeds but they do get quiet at 80+ MPH. I had to have them balanced at least
4 times when they were new and a couple of the wheels needed a large amount of
weights to balance out. I won't buy these again and was much happier with the
previous Nitto 555s. Anyway, since we are talking about different sizes and
uses maybe these tires just weren't a good pick for me. BTW I sure wish I could
get a set of tires for 220!
