What causes CV joints to go bad?

Hi,

I apologize if this reply goes to the wrong place, this is my first reply
to the mailing list... :-)

I was a Honda mechanic a long time ago ( 80-82) and I did replace many
driveshafts/constant-velocity joints, but it always turned out that the cause
was either a broken boot that allowed water/salt to wipe the grease out, or
drivers who constantly accelerate hard while turning in tight corners (
streets
). This is probably also true for Nissan cars... Personally I don`t think
lowering a car would make such a difference-not worst than having 2-3
	passengers ;-)

Of course, this only applies for the external ( outer ) joints
