I'd have to disagree with this. There is no way any car's cylinder will
maintain pressure over several hours. It begins to leak down immediately
upon compression.
The leakdown test characterizes how fast it leaks down, but you're never
going to get a perfect seal in a cylinder for hours, let alone seconds.
or did I take your description too literally?
