Divorced wastegates on Nissans..louder than Hondas?

Hey guys,

I have driven several turbocharged Integras with DRAG
3 turbo kits, which use a T3/T4 turbo with divorced
wastegates. I have noticed that when full boost hits
and the wastegate opens, it is not very loud compared
to my 200SX with open wastegate.

I have also heard several Silvias with open wastegates
and they are very loud and "nasty" as well.

Can anyone explain why this is?
