If it were mine I would definitely pull all the aftermarket parts I could off of it, but wheels and suspension will be tough when it comes to getting it hauled away. I don't think you'll likely get any trouble from your insurance company (I've never dealt with USAA, though - I'm on State Farm) but if you want to keep the parts you may be best off agreeing to a salvage value and keeping it, then stripping everything you want. I dealt with something similar when my dad died in 2005. He had had a minor off-road excursion shortly before he died and the car appeared to be largely OK, until I discovered that the transmission case was cracked. State Farm totalled it, and I pulled off a few of the easy things - JWT ECU, strut bar - before they towed it away. I would have loved to keep the wheels but obviously couldn't. </div><div><br></div><div>David</div><div>Chicago</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Thu, Feb 14, 2019 at 8:56 AM Wade Jackson <<a href="mailto:srwadet@gmail.com" target="_blank">srwadet@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:medium;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0)">Son rear ended an SUV on a slick road this week. I searched the internet and only found one for sale in the nation. Could not find any for sale on the forums either. I still have my B13 race car so I could take off some parts to use for spares. How would I even get the B14 to the junk yard without wheels and suspension. <span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:medium;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:medium;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0)">Anybody have any advice?</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:medium;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><span> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:medium;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0)">Wade<span></span></p></div></div>
