I think you have to replace the cable. The o-ring. That's odd. I have nothing for that one, but I'm looking forward to what people say.<div><br></div><div>James<br><br>On Wednesday, 19 September 2018, David Pertuz <<a href="mailto:d.pertuz@gmail.com">d.pertuz@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Last week my car suddenly started running rough again, in a familiar way. Smell of fuel under the hood and no change when I unplug the #1 injector, pull injector out before work this morning and predictably find another torn O-ring. Replace with new, good to go. But I swear I already replaced that O-ring earlier this year. Why might this be recurring? I check the lower seat with my finger before reinstalling to make sure it's clean. Is it highly sensitive to the injector being put in straight? Should I be tapping it down into the seats with a mallet before tightening the cap down? <div><br></div><div>Meanwhile, I have to push the front of the hood up with a wedge before I can pop the hood with the release. I could maybe move the latch down enough to address this, but that would just be a band-aid. Is there any adjustment in the release cable? I can't see any. And how can I even lube the thing? The horizontal track immeditately below the latch makes it seemingly impossible to get lube anywhere near that thing. </div><div><br></div><div>David</div><div>Chicago</div></div>
