<p>Sorry for the late reply, but I was going to say that a stuck
injector sounds most plausible. A properly working ignition won't
be able to light off the mixture, and you'll get the fuel running
down the front if the head gasket isn't perfectly sealed.<br>

Congrats on the Saab, and for getting the SE-R back on the road
after such a long wait. I have had rod knock enough times to know
it when I hear it, and at one time I was overly sensitive to the
noise and found a minor rattle at ~5k RPM that I started to worry
about. After a few months, I finally narrowed it down to a loose
alternator pivot bolt! =D<br>
