One of the things I did to my 328i while it was off the road was to
redo the headliner (as well as replace the sunroof cassette). Turned
about to be much easier than I thought. It looked kinda scary, but
other than trying not to break mounting tabs (nearly impossible in a
Bimmer), it was plenty easy.

The mouse fur comes with foam backing attached. If you look around you
can find it with different foam thicknesses.
