Lets see…
While driving the ‘infamous’ 93 automatic ;) … Bought a 91 MAXIMA, which is
still one of my best purchases since it was $600 and drove great. Sold the
Maxima. Sold the Sentra. Bought a 99 Altima SE, blew all my friends minds
that there was a 5 speed Altima for some reason. Bought Calum’s NX2000 ecu
testbed car, still super clean. But the suspension was too stiff for
anything other that perfect asphalt. After a few years of it mostly
sitting I sold it and thats the last of the sr20 cars. Sold the Altima and
got a 07 FJ Cruiser that I still drive.
The FJ is ugly as sin but as a single tall man its great. I have headroom
for days even at 6’5”, and yes its 4 doors but those suicide back doors are
not exactly useful. Its bigger than it should be but smaller than you
want. The 4L v6 gets out of its own way and all the fun stuff like a
locker in the rear.
Id like another fun car, but it just doesn’t make much sense right now.
Turned 40 and the last thing I want to do is wrench. Being so tall, any
time under the hood of a car means hours bent over and my back just loathes
that. No room for a lift so no wrenching for me. Fun car I’d like to have
is something like a Chevy SS…but I keep going back to boring utility
cars/trucks/suvs instead of money on something fast… I drive like a granny
anyway.

from the SR20 world) after 9 years of miles and smiles. When we were
expecting our first child, my wife and I agreed that I should get the
"family" car as I have no commute. Her criteria: had to fit the dog and
baby safely at the same time. My criteria: fun to drive with a bit more
utility. Ended up with a '15 Audi SQ5 which has the ZF-8. Never had an auto
trans vehicle before this so it took some getting used to but overall I've
been very happy with it. Supercharger whine is no turbo spool, though! My
projects are more of the rural and small engine maintenance type these
days. Maybe just biding my time until the owner of my old turbo B13 decides
to move on and she ends up back in my garage down the line...
Glad to see some old, familiar names back in my inbox. Got my first SE-R
when I was 20 and turned 39 last month... time keeps on slippin slippin
slippin....

handles itself well for a big car. No manual trans but the 7speed auto and
flappy paddles work well in manual mode. It is also comfy and currently
bone stock. I have an AMG limited slip differential on the shelf I want to
install though. :)

My Daily is a 2013 Honda Accord Coupe V6 with (gasp) an automatic. That
was the first new car purchased with an automatic and honestly don't regret
it. The auto equaled the performance of the manual, got 3mpg better, and I
drive in a lot of stop and go traffic so it took my driving fatigue level
down bigly.

It's been a while. I wonder how many of us DD our cars still? I don't. My
NX2000 has been track-only since 2007.
My DD is a 5 litre 2014 F-150 Supercrew, which will do towing duties when I
(eventually) race the NX.
Stored on the lift in the garage, next to the NX, I have my Dad's old
Daimler SP250 and his 1995 240sx, which I repainted recently. It has just
under 97,000 kilometres on it still.
