brake calipers - rebuilt units

Whittling away at the project list on my SE-R - one of them is new rear
brakes. I've got a caliper rebuild kit and even a spare set of calipers
(I've had them so long I don't remember whether or not they're good) but
I've always understood that rebuilding rear calipers is kind of a PITA due
to the handbrake mechanism, and it's easier to just buy rebuilt units. So,
that leads me to my question - are any particular aftermarket remans better
than the others? I do not take for granted that I can just walk into my
FLAPS and whatever they offer will be good enough.
