Hi David,

Would you consider the Subaru Outback or the Mazda5?  Both can be easily
had with a manual shift.  If you're considering the Mazda6 wagon, those are
more around 25 mpg hwy anyway, similar to the Outback.  I've driven a few
Mazda5s and they are reasonably fun to drive.
