Close, it was actually done at Grover's house. He lent us (who had
only just me him that weekend) his truck, trailer, and garage at his
house. Me, Jez, and Lee Koloszyc stayed up all night and swapped his
rod bearings out the night before we had to drive home. After we were
done I slept from 8am to 11am at the hotel and then hit the road back
to Pittsburgh by myself. I credit Larry McCloud for potentially
saving my life. He was also driving back north solo and just as I was
starting to doze off behind the wheel his phone call woke me up. He
was only an hour ahead of me and said that he was dead tired too and
wanted to know if I would split a motel room.
PS I had to change my clutch in the parking lot at the Austin
convention in 2005.
