If you jack up the entire front end, then both sides hang and the sway
bar becomes less of an issue. However, since the front is now level,
the transmission fluid will run out when you pull the axle. Or, you can
jack up the driver's side to keep the oil from running out and deal with
the sway bar by prying or disconnecting the end link. Your choice. If
you decide to remove the sway bar connection, be sure to hold the end
link on top while you turn the nut on the bottom. They snap off quite
easily.
Be sure to use a jackstand(s). It will take quite a quick "pop" of the
prybar to get the axle out of the transmission. When putting it back
together, remember to torque the axle nut to 180-190 ft-lbs (don't
remember the exact number) or the wheel bearing will fail very soon.
