I've had two daily driven GLH's. LOVED them.
Great sleepers. Cheapest cars to upgrade.
Mishaps took both of them off of the road.

Owned one from 1988 through '95 or so and raced it in
Showroom Stock A '89-'91. It was a rattle trap.
Shifter made selecting a gear a guessing game, brakes
were "adequate" but nothing spectacular. Formula
Monroe GP shocks were fine the first 1000 miles or so
until they blew up. The turbo lag was no problem as
long as you got on the loud pedal a good 2 seconds
before you needed the power, and when it came in the
open differential wasn't an issue as long as you were
pointing straight ahead. Oh, and at least I got to
build up some arm muscles from the torque steer...
And, other than the firewall splitting from behind the
pedals, around the trans tunnel, then up and over to
the other side - yes, the car almost split in two - I
guess the chassis was "OK"... <grin> I cracked 4
windshields before I lifted up the carpet to find that
little jewel...
I bought the NX2000 to race in SSB after that car, and
it was an IMMENSE improvement. Only 140hp versus the
CSX's 175hp, but SUCH a much better car overall. Proof
in that pudding is while my crew chief still has my
old CSX, I have ZERO interest in driving it, and I
still own an NX2000 to have along with my '00 Audi
S4...
I drove a Neon SRT-4, and I felt like I was driving a
more-powerful CSX. In fact, I was.
We tend to remember old cars fondly - I still have
pleasant thoughts about my old VW Microbus - but if
you ever get a chance to try one again you'll find
it's an enlightening experience... - GA
