I know the feeling Wayne. I had a JDM 10:1 SR20DE that I swapped into my 92
SE-R. I spent all summer disassembling the motor and putting it back together
again, in order to clean out all the sludge that was in there. Pretty much
detail cleaned the inside and outside of the motor, as well as the engine bay
and everything in it. Any cast iron parts were painted a nice silver finish to
hide/prevent rust. The valve cover was powder coated candy red. Did some minor
porting/deburring of the intake/exhaust ports and the coolant ports. My 0-60
time with this motor improved almost a half second (per G-Tech) compared to my
previous motor with pretty much the same bolt-ons.

6 months later I was rear ended and became the middle car in a 5-car pile up.
It became time to move on and the motor was sold. My consolation is that the
motor was sold to a local SE-R enthusiast. Every now and then I try to check
up on how the "child I gave up for adoption" is doing. I'll be there for the
kid's first dyno.

>I don't know what the things are even selling for these days.
Typically about $350-550 or so.
