Sold my engine :(

Wow, I'm feeling kinda empty....

I sold the engine from my original SE-R yesterday, on sort of a whim
even.  I've given away or sold lots of other stuff from it in the
last 3 or 4 years, and was even glad to help someone else out, and
have a part of it living on.  But the engine is kinda
different.  Like I just put my first-born up for adoption, or
something:(   A local SE-R guy was buying a new HS header I had for
$280, and offered $600 total to throw in the engine so I went for it...

I don't know what the things are even selling for these days.  Maybe
with their general age and everyone doing turbos they're a dime a
dozen.  But it only has 94K on it, and had the head rebuilt on and
lots of intake and head work done around 70K.  After the head work
and one of the first ever sets of HS headers, it became the first
SE-R to crack into the 14 second range at the 'strip (10-6-96).  Then
it broke drivetrain parts with a passion before I drove it onto an
ice patch and into a utility pole in Feb '01.

Oh well...  I guess I should be happy it's gone to a good home, like
the other parts.  It just had a lot more personal sweat & brain work
in it than, say,  the taillight I gave away.
