215/45/15 size tires.

The VW R32 Golf comes stock with 225/40/18 tires on 18x7.5" wheels. I
don't really see your rational for worrying about putting a 215mm tire
on a 177.8mm (7 inch) wheel when VW will but a 225mm tire on a 190.5mm
(7.5 inch) wheel. That's a ratio of 1.21:1 for my choice and a ratio of
1.18:1 for the Golf. Yes, the golf has a little bit more wheel per mm of
tire, but it also has a shorter sidewall aspect ratio. If the money
comes up, I'll be going with the 215/45/15 size. It doesn't look likely,
but that's a different issue all together.
