Dowel Pins On Block, Transmission

Does anyone know how many dowel pins are supposed to be present on the
block where the transmission bolts to it? And how many for the
transmission? I have one on the block around 9 o'clock and one on the
transmission around 12 o'clock. Are there supposed to be more? This is
real important. I'm going through clutch discs and am looking for an answer.
