There is no such thing as a flat topped VG piston.
They all have domes.

The off the shelf Z piston will get you 11:1  A flat
top euro/JDM piston will get you 10:1.

S5/C3 cams will have sufficent clearance to run VG
pistons and even allow the exhaust cam to be retarded
somewhat (depending on what generation of C3 cam with
what lob center ground into it)
