Then according to the FSM, the pump fails. I'd try that first. That's
probably it.

It will swing back and forth. But being that you don't have a cable, you
speedo wouldn't work if the sensor was bad, so don't worry about that.  :)

Let me know when you've tried the 'donor' pump. ;)
