Promlem?

Ok, I don't know if I have a problem or not.  On a '99
SE-L there is a small part attached to the firewall in
the engine bay that say "boost sensor" on it.  There
is a wire that plugs into it.  My wire is NOT
connected though.  Should it be?  What does this
"boost sensor" do?

Could it be that it should be unpluged due to any of
the following mods: JWT S3 cams, pop-charger, & ECU
(from a '97), HS header, & Stromung cat back exhaust.
