Starting problem -- need help

Yes, this sounds like you need to clean some contacts. Remove the engine
ground connecting to the thermostat, clean that. Also, that same wire runs
to the chassis. Clean that contact too. Idealy, you should replace it with
something higher gauge...

Wait until it won't start again. Then take jumper cables, attach one
negative end to the block, and the other negative end to the battery
terminal (just leave the possative ends dangling) and try to start the car.
If it starts right up, your grounding situation is the culprit.

This same problem has happend to me with my car, as well as a friend's turbo
dodge shadow. It seems to be a pretty common occurance.
