I've used 195X55X14s for years and been real happy with
the dry performance and handling increase. I've used
Dunlop SP8000s,however since you experience rain
Toyo TI-S may be better.
Made a huge difference. Acceleration is improved also
if you don't mind the shorter tire (dia 22.4 versus 22.7 stock).
Now running 15" wheels with 195X50X15
