How easy is it to become a doctor? How easy is it to become a
mechanic? What is the cost? What is the risk? If something happens to
you and you don't work as a mechanic, how much does it cost you to pay back
your schooling? How much does the doc have to pay back? How many
mechanics are there in this country? How many doctors? Are you on call 24/7?

Look, it's simple economics. If it was as easy and cheap to become a
doctor as it is to become a mechanic, I guess the doctor would have to
charge less. Furthermore, if you don't think a doc works on a flat rate,
you're nuts.

You know, that kind of attitude about people who can afford premium things
really pisses me off. I have a 328i. I don't have money to burn. You're
right about the price of pads though. Just bought a set. I'm even doing
my own maintenance on my Bimmer. I don't know if that makes me a cheap
bastard or a dumb bastard in your eyes.

Yeah right. BMWs come with 36/36 free maintenance. I just bought one
off-lease. A 3-year lease. Smart, I think. If I didn't rack up a ton of
miles a year, I would have leased a new one. For 3 years. :-) Smart, not
cheap.
