Both are B13s and probably equally good as a race car. Both are
flexi-flyers and need good welded cages to get the chassis nice and
tight. You mention racing and you need to decide what sanctioning body you
want to race with and which class. If you race in SCCA ITS, both cars are
pretty much equal. I *think* the NX has a slightly shorter wheelbase and
slightly lower center of gravity.

That said, the NX gets larger brakes but is probably somewhat less rigid
due to the hatch, but if you install a good cage this will not be an
issue. Otherwise, all the go-fast goodies for the SE-R will work with the
NX and vise-versa.

They are pretty much a toss-up in terms of choice for ITS. Performance
should be equal if fully prepared.

If you are just going to do DEs, you can pretty much do whatever you
like. But if you think you would like to do some real racing, I'd suggest
planning on building it towards some racing class specs such as ITS or SE-R
Cup (currently only in CA).
