choking and dying

I've been having this problem with my 97 SE-R. Yesterday, I was
driving home on the freeway and the car started choking, as if it
was ready to shut off. After I pulled off the freeway, the car shut
off as soon as I got to the stoplight. After that, everytime I'd
slow down to stop, the car what shut off. Also, this last fill up,
it has gave me incredibly bad gas milage and I've had a rough idle
for a while. Help me out guys. Thanks,Gino
