You'd have to dump in a ton of fuel to get it to hydrolock.  As far as where
the fuel went, gas evaporates very quickly which is why you don't light up
anything in confined spaces with gas.  Gas vapors and sparks make a bad combo.

When you installed the injectors, did you lubricate the o-rings?  If you
didn't, that could be the cause of the leaky injectors.  Might want to get
another set of o-rings.

And next time when you disconnect the battery, disconnect the NEGATIVE cable;
it's safer that way :)
