Go For It! The Kobalt stuff is great, Sears sucks in comparison.
I have a bunch of Sears / Craftsman crap I've accumulated from about 1985
to present. Back around last June there was a big discussion here about
tools and several guys mentioned the Kobalt was like "Snap On Lite" (Snap
On supposedly actually makes them.) At the same time, I was doing a clutch
job in Lisa's NX. A very stubborn 12mm nut was rounding off with my Sears
box end on it. I had to go to Lowes for some other stuff, and with all the
list talk of Kobalt, I bought a single 12mm combo-wrench. It took off the
already rounded nut NO PROBLEM. FUCK SEARS! The Kobalt tolerances are
just a bunch tighter. I just bought a set of Kobalt metric combo wrenches
to replaces my Sears shit, and hope to procure more soon! I'll have to
check out the sale you mention.
