Swain coating piston skirts

Waht I have always done is to set my piston to wall
clearance before swain coating the psitons and run the
clearance coated to whereever it will fall, even if
the clearance ends up being close to zero. The
coating soon burnishes in and the clearance becomes
reasonable.

The clearance post coating on my NA SR20 was only
0.0001" after coating and it has been fine and my
300ZX with forged pistons ended up being about 0.0012
after coating with no problems.

With low silicone forged pistons the swain coating
makes them totaly silent, like cast pistons when cold.
