That would be evidence towards a pendulum type, unless you and your
passenger habitually snug the belts anyway, and the lock is just caused
by body weight shifting and tugging the straps.

I know that the rear belts do this for child seats. I was unaware of it
being used in the fronts though (never thought to try).
