Throttle Cable

I had to replace my accelerator cable on my B13 XE (I know you have an SE-R
but it should be the same) about a month ago and man was it a pain in the
butt. I'm pretty sure there might be an easier way but this is the way I did
it, it really helps if you have a socket wrench, in fact make sure you have
one. I think I used two sockets, one was 9mm and I don't remember the other
one. Under the hood: I first disconnected the cable from the throttle lever
and unscrewed the two nuts that hold it in place. Inside of car: I then took
out the part of the dash right under the steering wheel along with the metal
plate that you will see once you remove the plastic part. From there you
disconnect the cable from the gas pedal, it's held on by a white washer, and
remove the gas pedal itself. You then have to reach up where the two bolts
are and unscrew them which is the hardest and longest part because of the
limited space you have to work with. Once you get the two bolts out, you just
slide in the new cable from the inside and reverse the whole process. Don't
forget to take up any slack. I kicked myself after I paid $52 for the cable
at the dealer and then finding out that Greg V. could of got me the part for
$30 something. Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions I will try to
be more descriptive.

Subject: Throttle Cable
I just got done putting in my jdm engine and i noticed as I lowered the
engine, i snapped the throttle cable. I went to the local nissan dealer and
bought another one. My only question is how in the world I am supposed to get
to the bolts on the inside to take the old one off? Any and all help is
greatly apprieciated!
