Blower Switch Melting, also Headlight Switch

I just thought of another source for melting switches - check the
'tightness' of the terminals in the plug.
It is a vicious circle - the contact gets a little dirty or loose creating
some resistance, then the connection heats up during heavy current draw
causing the terminal to loosen up even more causing more resistance, more
heat, etc etc. The heat transfers along the length of the switch terminal
melting the housing.
I've seen the female terminals inside the plug housings loosen up from heat
over time to the point that they don't have any more temper and become quite
soft.
