Radiator fans not working? Removed your AC?

Larry, my '91 was an AC car, but now isn't.  I'm in the process of putting
the AC parts back in.  My radiator fans have always kicked on when the car
gets hot.  Maybe the NX are just strange, and like to make their driver's
lives'difficult?
