Hi everybody (Hi Dr. Nick!)

Through a classic bonehead maneuver (putting too much pressure on the wrong
spot) I just rendered my car undriveable for the time being. Set out to
replace the badly leaking power steering hose that starts at the strut tower
and runs down to the pump. Now I cracked the hard line that goes into the
banjo fitting at the strut tower. Cracked it right at the fitting, too.

I am revving my mind up trying to figure out hwo to implement a temporary fix
so I can drive it again, and/or a permanent fix. I am on vacation in Atlanta
and I live in Detroit so I can't camp out here forever :)

Some thoughts:

Can I solder it? I think the line is copper, but I don't really know. Brian at
Courtesy suggested it, it's the first thing I'll try. If it isn't copper, I'll
know it right off.

Can I JB Weld this crack? Never used it myself, don't know if it will work in
this application.

The hard line is cracked _right_ at the banjo fitting, so I can't splice in a
piece of line.

Not even Courtesy has the line (almost $100 even at the discount!) in stock,
so fat chance any local dealers do.

ANy other ideas? Help? Suggestions? Advice? They would be _much_ appreciated.
I can be reached on my cell at 313 623 7627 (Detroit phone, but i'm in
ATlanta) or email me back

thanks!
