Radio advice needed

I'm partial to Alpine too.  They did have a problem about 3-4 years ago with
quality control but they've fixed it from what I've heard.  My current deck
which I got 1.5 years ago or so has been perfect and my roommate switched over
to Alpine.

As far as the Bose stuff, I'm pretty sure the each speaker has its own amp;
meaning the head unit does not have a built in amp.  I'd just go with an
aftermarket deck.  You can get tons of features now for $300 which would've
been $500 a year or so ago.
